Apr 11 Condo life - A new series to inform you as a buyer
by: Christine
The second Wednesday of every month we will focus on condo living and let you see the differences that are to be had versus traditional housing in a neighborhood. As I looked at the weather over the weekend, I was reminded of why I love my condo so much! SNOW! I know that word isn’t used much here in sunny Florida, but it is very relevant to condo living.
Almost ¼ of the country woke up at some point this weekend to a white yard. And on Easter weekend at that! Weather is so unpredictable. Here in Broward County, we don’t have to worry so much about snow but the rain, hurricanes, and the occasional hail/tornado storm can pop up at any time during the year. Life in the beach is well worth the hassle but ruining a great dress or new pair of shoes is a killer! Not to mention the frustration of getting home with a soaked bag of groceries. Living in a condo will pretty much take care of that for you. You just pull into a secured garage and park your car in a dry spot that you are familiar with and you never have to worry about what it will be like when you get out. “Won’t a garage attached to a house give you the same security?” you ask. It will but you have to fight everything in the garage to get inside. Chances are that you will have to stop at the door when it is cold during the winter to unlock the door while balancing your armload. That is never fun and I don’t miss it one bit. On the other hand, I just push a button and get on an elevator to get into a climate controlled environment before I have to struggle with unlocking my front door. Have I interested you in finding out more on condo living yet? I am spoiled to my condo and my view so I am biased on this subject. I love it. Next month I will actually talk about condos and what is available. Today I just wanted to let you know one of my favorite things about condo living and introduce you to our newest series here are Best Homes. See you next month when we talk about why a condo is a perfect second home. Meta DataTheme Tagscondominium life in fort lauderdale |
