Curt Gowdy, born in Wyoming, was one of the most famous sports broadcasters in American history. His list of accomplishments and awards go on for miles. He began his career, actually, with a business degree from the University of Wyoming in statistics. Little did he know hat his statistics background would catapult him into a great place among sportscasters. His dreams of becoming a fighter pilot was cut short due to a ruptured disk so he recovered by not getting bored and broadcasting a local football game. From there, as they say, “The rest is history”. He is most famous as the voice of the Boston Red Socks for 15 years,the Game of the Week and Monday Night Baseball for 10 years. Our very own snowbird and retiree, Curt Gowdy, passed away in the early part of last year after dealing with an acute case of Leukemia. We are so sorry for the loss to the family and are glad that he and his wife, Jerre, blessed us with their residence since 1988. They bought a lakefront mansion on El Bravo Way in
