lago mar_1.jpg Welcome back to the Thursday series at Best Homes in Broward on golfing. We are so happy to see you. This series reminds me of the movie Happy Gilmore with Adam Sandler. I laughed the whole time he was beating up on old Bob Barker. Who wouldn't?! Today we will be taking a look at a wonderful country club in Plantation, Florida. Lago Mar Country Club is the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon!

Lago Mar Country Club has one of the sweetest golf courses of finely manicured Bermuda grass available in Plantation. The course was opened in 1955 and was designed by Bill Watts. Let's look at some specifications that allow the course to be certified by the USGA.

There are a total of 6,777 yeards of golf to be played
Lago Mar Country Club is the host to a spectacular 18 hole golf course.
The signature hole is the 17th hole with a 178 yard, par 3 that allows you to sail the golf ball over beautiful water.
The course rating is 72.5 and the slope rating is 129.

The country club is private so there is a dress code. No denim is allowed and you must wear a collared shirt. Bermuda shorts are the minimum so there will be no Happy Gilmore'ing it here, folks. Class all the way! In addition to the good memories of Happy Gilmore, Lago Mar Country Club offers more than just any old golf course. There is a driving range, chipping green, practice putting green, and practice pitch green. With so much to offer, how could you not love it?
